This is my soundscape to Robert Frost's "Birches". I was required to pick a selection from the poem, recite it in my own voice, and then add my own sound effects and music. This is the product.

Upon hearing that I would have to do a soundscape, I was both apprehensive and excited. I knew that it would be fun; I just had no idea what I was doing. I believe we, as humans, learn best from trial and error. Once I actually sat down with the Audacity music program and began experimenting, I learned all of the innovative ways I could bring this piece of text to life. Similarly, this portfolio thus far has been a learning process of trial and error. The more I experiment, the more I learn, and the more I am able to breathe new life into old ideas. I could not be more proud of the way this portfolio is turning out.
