The selection I chose to make a photo story for is from Chbosky's "The Perks of Being A Wallflower". First, I used Audacity to create the voiceover of the passage. Then, I added music to my voiceover, and played around with the volume levels in order to make the sound fit the passage. After doing this, I opened Microsoft Movie Maker, and added the Audacity track I had previously recorded. Using Google Images, I then looked for pictures that would correlate with the passage I was using, and used the effects and transitions available to me through Microsoft Movie Maker in order to make the piece completely my own. I didn't know I was capable of something like this, but it was definitely a lot easier than I thought. The hardest part, by far, was finding the pictures I wanted, in order to get my message across. Despite the slight difficulties, this was extremely fun to do, and I could definitely see assigning an assignment like this to my students.
